The Say Something Guide

It’s easy to make someone’s day. Just “Say Something.”

A Say Something Statement is:

  • personalized to an individual and

  • describes an attribute, skill, or action.

It’s not random. It’s more than a general ‘thank you’ or ‘I appreciate it.'

It’s specific to an individual and shows some thought and caring.

You can make a Say Something comment to anyone. It doesn’t have to be a friend or family member. Talk to your child’s teacher. Your barista. The crossing guard. A security guard.

Examples:

I appreciate how you make me laugh when I come here.

Thank you for recommending that book — it was wonderful.

I admire how you put people at ease.

It’s so comforting knowing you are here for our children.
